Trainer
It is known that Romany Gypsy and Irish Traveller people are three times more likely to experience anxiety and twice as likely to experience depression than the general population.
According to an all-Ireland report, Irish Traveller men were almost seven times more likely to die by suicide, while Irish Traveller women were six times more likely to die by suicide than the general population.
This webinar will equip professionals with the tools needed to recognise and respond to suicide risk within Gypsy and Traveller communities.
Understanding the specific barriers and experiences faced by Gypsy and Traveller people can help professionals recognise when someone may be struggling, respond appropriately in a crisis, and reduce barriers to accessing support.
